Building In-Country Value added Industrial Future

Novel Muscat International LLC is developing an integrated Inorganic Chemical Complex focused on the production of essential industrial materials that support Oman’s downstream manufacturing sector and economic diversification agenda.

The complex is planned to produce high-value inorganic materials, including soda ash, precipitated silica, calcined lime, dololime, and related mineral-based products. These materials serve as critical inputs for industries such as glass manufacturing, detergents, chemicals, cement, water treatment, construction, and non-carbon tyre manufacturing.

Key Production Focus

Soda Ash

The planned soda ash facility has an estimated production capacity of 500,000 MT per year. The project benefits from access to key raw materials and infrastructure, including salt and brine resources, limestone, steam, natural gas, and jetty access for bulk handling and export logistics.

Precipitated Silica

The complex includes plans for precipitated silica production with an estimated capacity of 100,000 MT per year. Precipitated silica is widely used in non-carbon tyres, rubber products, detergents, oral care, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and specialty industrial applications.

Calcined Lime and Dololime

Planned future production of calcined lime and dololime will support applications in steel, cement, glass, environmental treatment, paint and chemical manufacturing.

Clinker Production Plant

Novel Muscat International LLC is planning a 1 million metric tonne per annum clinker production facility. Strategically located with port access, the plant will support cement manufacturing, regional exports, and Oman’s growing infrastructure and industrial development.

Industrial Value Chain

The complex is designed around the availability of local mineral resources, including limestone, silica, seawater, and brine. By integrating these resources with process infrastructure, utilities, and logistics, Novel Muscat International LLC aims to create a competitive industrial platform within Oman that reduces dependency on imported industrial chemicals, strengthens local value addition, and creates opportunities for downstream manufacturing.
